Commanders vs. Eagles - Week 8

There will be some weary limbs by this point of the campaign as we approach halfway. But the Washington Commanders must dig deep with the Philadelphia Eagles visiting FedEx Field in Week 8.

We've previously discussed the power littered across the Eagles' roster. Counteracting this will be difficult, especially if their young guns reach or exceed their lofty billing.

Prediction: Loss (5-3)

While nothing can be ruled out with a passionate fanbase returning to support the Commanders, the firepower at Philadelphia's disposal means they are going to be a tough out at home or on the road.

Commanders at Patriots - Week 9

While the New England Patriots' defense looks like a force to be reckoned with, doubts remain about their offense and quarterback Mac Jones. Something the Commanders will be looking to take full advantage of in Week 9.

The presence of Bill O'Brien running the offense should help Jones after a lackluster campaign in 2022. But the Commanders' defense is exceptional and can be the catalyst for great things looking at this particular matchup.

Prediction: Win (6-3)

Bill Belichick will have a few surprises up his sleeve as always. But they haven't been the all-conquering force of the past for some time now and the Commanders have absolutely nothing to fear.
