Which way could the Washington Commanders go with their 2024 NFL Draft selections with plenty of picks and multiple needs to fill?

The Washington Commanders currently have nine picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. Current standings give them the No. 4 overall selection in the first round. Thanks to trade-deadline deals for Montez Sweat and Chase Young, they have two picks in both the second and third rounds.

All those things can and will change based on final records and further trades. The Commanders could also possibly receive compensatory picks after the season, though that seems unlikely at this point.

For purposes of this mock draft, I am simply making Washington’s nine picks, No trades.

The Pro Football Network draft simulator tool does allow for trades. I almost always do better when I trade down in these mocks. But their methodology for proposing trades can be a little iffy.

Truth be told, so is their ranking and selection process. This can yield unlikely results. But even so, it is a marvelous way to begin to see where players may fall and to familiarize yourself with who the Commanders might be looking at.

I did a couple dozen mocks before settling down to do this one - my first official mock of the 2024 season. And I gotta say, I’m very happy with how this one turned out.
