Commanders OL needs help vs. Solomon Thomas

The New York Jets are loaded along the defensive line, with Solomon Thomas one of the more productive members of their deep and talented rotation. He knows head coach Robert Saleh's system well, having played for the latter with the San Francisco 49ers.

Thomas never quite made the grade in the Bay Area, despite being selected No. 3 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. It's been a different story in New York, where he's logged a career-high five sacks this season.

One of those quarterback takedowns came against Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. Thomas played over center and used a deft spin move to get home for a play highlighted by "Turn on the Jets" podcast host Will Parkinson.

Like most of the Jets' defensive linemen, Thomas can play end or tackle and attack from anywhere along the front. He's going to be a problem for Commanders center Nick Gates, who will need to adjust protection based on how Gang Green's front four lines up.
