Commanders can't underestimate Kenneth Gainwell

The Philadelphia Eagles love to mete out punishment between the guard-center gaps. But Kenneth Gainwell offers one of the league's best rushing attacks a true outside speedster.

His workload has been limited in recent weeks. However, Gainwell still managed to find the end zone against the Miami Dolphins.

Shifty moves and a nose for the end zone keep Gainwell relevant in a rushing scheme otherwise dominated by D'Andre Swift, along with quarterback Jalen Hurts. The latter is rarely shy about looking his way in the passing game, which could be another problem for the Washington Commanders in Week 8.

Gainwell is averaging 4.8 yards per reception. He can make people miss underneath against defenses naturally focused on locking up outside receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

The Commanders will likely concentrate on containing Brown, but Washington's defense also needs a plan for another big-bodied target.
