Commanders can't ignore Kobie Turner

The rich got richer when the Los Angeles Rams drafted Kobie Turner in the third round earlier this year. He's showing shades of becoming another Aaron Donald - an undersized, but highly disruptive defensive tackle.

Turner is splitting gaps with leverage and closing on passers with speed and fury. He did all of those things on this pressure against the Cleveland Browns in Week 13, highlighted by Blaine Grisak of SB Nation's Turf Show Times.

The play is a great illustration of what Turner has added to the Rams' defense. He's made it difficult for teams to focus too heavily on Donald without getting beat by No. 91.

Finding a way to control both dynamic defensive tackles won't be easy for Bieniemy, but he should consider putting two tight ends on the line as often as possible. A two-tight end set would allow the Washington Commanders to use double teams along the interior.

The plan can work, but only if Bieniemy also schemes help against a dangerous edge-rusher.
