Another quality outing for Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels has been one of the stars of training camp so far. That's not a great shock considering how the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has transitioned to life with the Washington Commanders this offseason.

Daniels is growing in confidence with every practice session. His accuracy, mobility, and natural charisma are winning over everyone associated with the Commanders. Nobody is getting too carried away right now - there is the small matter of joint practices and preseason games to navigate first - but it's hard to overlook the momentum building around Washington's new face of the franchise.

The former LSU star put together another outstanding day of practice on Day 7. Daniels' blossoming connection with Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin shows no signs of slowing down. One throw, in particular, drew gasps of almost disbelief from the fans in attendance.

McLaurin beat Emmanuel Forbes Jr. - who he's been battling with throughout camp - off the line of scrimmage. The safety came over to help, but Daniels delivered a jaw-dropping strike downfield with pinpoint accuracy for a huge gain.

Any concerns some supporters or analysts have had about Daniels are being alleviated in no uncertain terms. He looks like someone who can take the NFL by storm and get the Commanders back to their rightful place among the contenders. The Heisman Trophy winner needs help from others, but this incredible start should serve him well when competitive games start.

Daniels is stacking positive days with ease. Things have clicked during Week 2 of camp. He's more familiar with the scheme and developing chemistry with his primary pass-catchers. There's also a lot to like about his command pre-snap and communication with Washington's new-look offensive line.

Dan Quinn should have seen enough by now. Daniels is the Week 1 starter at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One can argue that was a foregone conclusion even before camp began.
