Commanders vs. Cowboys - Week 12

After being embarrassed by the Dallas Cowboys last November during a Thanksgiving Day massacre, the Washington Commanders have a chance to get some revenge. This also sees new head coach Dan Quinn facing off against his former employer.

Quinn - along with former defensive end Dorance Armstrong, a plethora of coaches who followed him to Washington, and Dante Fowler Jr. - can stick it to their old team in what should be a tight NFC East battle. This also provides the Commanders with a chance to turn the tide in one of the NFL's most storied rivalries.

Commanders at Saints - Week 15

In Week 15, the Commanders visit the New Orleans Saints, which is one of the loudest environments anywhere in the league. This will be a bit of a homecoming game for Jayden Daniels, who ended his collegiate career at LSU and won a Heisman Trophy playing for the Tigers in 2023. It will also be the second time Chase Young faces off with his former team.

After being traded to the San Francisco 49ers for a third-round pick last season, which eventually turned into wide receiver Luke McCaffrey, Young returned to Washington in Week 17. There were no fireworks to be had though, with the defensive end finishing with only one tackle and one quarterback hit as a result of his efforts.

During his time with the Niners, Young only had 2.5 sacks and was ultimately not re-signed. He joined the Saints this offseason on a one-year deal that could be worth up to $13 million. His stock has steadily fallen since being drafted No. 2 overall in 2020, but he has a chance to earn a long-term deal with success in 2024.

Can he prove himself against his former team, or will the Commanders win out on the trade selecting the next face of the McCaffrey family dynasty?
