Kazmeir Allen - Commanders WR/KR

Much like the situation with Mason Brooks, the Washington Commanders targeted Kazmeir Allen as a matter of extreme urgency once the last name was called during the 2023 NFL Draft. Ron Rivera and his staff didn't expect to see the versatile playmaker in undrafted free agency and did everything possible to bring him into the fold.

Allen was a highly productive wide receiver during his time at UCLA. However, it's his kick-returning that made the prospect so appealing to the Commanders.

It's been a frustrating offseason so far for Allen. This is thanks in no small part to a nagging injury that's prevented him from participating frequently - something the player and the Commanders hope will change by the time training camp rolls around.

Rivera has spoken glowingly about Allen and what he could potentially bring to the Commanders. Dax Milne has also caught the eye during early workouts, so it might be a straight fight between the two to see who gets a roster spot within Washington's stacked wide receiver room.

If Allen doesn't do enough to make the roster initially, those in power would love to have him back on the practice squad. However, there's every chance a team that needs help in the return game would take a close look at his credentials in this scenario.
