Kendall Fuller - Commanders CB

It's been a season of great change within the Washington Commanders' cornerback room this offseason. Something that was entirely necessary if Jack Del Rio's defense wanted to take another major leap forward into the NFL's best unit potentially.

Emmanuel Forbes was the marquee arrival at No. 16 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. Quan Martin was taken in the second round and could become the nickel option immediately, with Cameron Dantzler Sr.'s arrival off the waiver wire also coming with a significant amount of intrigue.

What the future holds for those already around as a result remains to be seen. It would be a shock if Kendall Fuller was moved on before his contract expires, but what comes after the 2023 campaign is far less certain.

Fuller's experience will be sorely needed next season. Especially with Forbes and Martin needing time to adjust to the rigors of NFL life.

The former Virginia Tech standout is counting $11.62 million against Washington's salary cap on the final year of his contract. Unless Fuller performs to a Pro Bowl-caliber level next season, it'll probably be his last in a Commanders' uniform.
