Emmanuel Forbes vs. Commanders WRs

Emmanuel Forbes won't be missing any training camp practices after signing his rookie deal just a few short hours after Josh Harris' ownership group took charge of the Washington Commanders. Big things are expected of the first-round selection right out of the gate, which stems from his outstanding athletic traits and a seamless transition to the organization during early workouts.

The Commanders keyed in on Forbes pretty early during the pre-draft process. He's done nothing to waver this confidence so far, but the former Mississippi State star is about to get a crash course in what it takes to succeed at the next level during camp.

Putting the pads on and getting a little more physical should provide a broader indication of what to expect from Forbes in Year 1 of his professional career. The defensive back will also get the best possible preparation by going up against Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Jahan Dotson, and Dyami Brown.

Washington's formidable wide receiver foursome looks set to thrive next season under one of the most respected offensive minds in the business. Eric Bieniemy accepts nothing but excellence and should improve execution, which means Forbes and others in the Commanders' secondary could be set for a rough ride at camp.

As the old saying goes, iron sharpens iron. Forbes will have times of struggle, but it should make things easier for the rookie when he goes up against pass-catchers with less prolific qualities during the regular season.
