4 Commanders players that must impose themselves at 2023 OTAs

Sam Howell - Commanders QB
For all the talent situated across the Washington Commanders roster, their fate lies in the hands of one man. That is a lot to ask of Sam Howell entering Year 2 of his professional career with just one start, but quarterback is football's most prestigious position for a reason and something he must live up to in 2023.
Howell has the talent and coming along gradually as a rookie was probably the best course of action. More importantly, those in positions of power firmly believe in his capabilities - which is something that's transitioned across the locker room throughout the offseason period to date.
Washington plans to make Howell earn it with a competition against veteran free-agent signing Jacoby Brissett. This makes it absolutely imperative for the North Carolina product to stamp his mark on the offense throughout the Commanders' upcoming OTA schedule.
Everything is seemingly in place for Howell to excel. The Commanders spent big bucks to lure Eric Bieiemy from the Kansas City Chiefs, they upgraded their offensive line, and have more than enough talent at the skill positions to do some significant damage.
Setting the right tone and making a good impression at OTAs is a good place to start where Howell is concerned. Anything less would cause more trouble than it's worth with so many unknowns heading into a franchise-altering campaign for the team.
