Khaleke Hudson - Commanders LB

Khaleke Hudson has made a name for himself ever since last season's Week 18 finale against the Dallas Cowboys. The feisty linebacker imposed his will throughout the offseason and all signs point to the Washington Commanders giving him increased responsibilities when competitive games arrive.

During the Commanders' preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Hudson was flying around and causing havoc in the backfield. He has shown a willingness to play both spots at the defensive second level opposite of Jamin Davis and Cody Barton or by himself.

I also see him in the nickel package as well. But the Commanders don't have a lot of depth in this area of the field - they only use two linebacker sets when it comes to their defensive scheme more often than not.

Hudson is guaranteed to make the team because he boasts the type of energy that defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio loves. I still have the Commanders carrying four linebackers in Hudson, Barton, Davis, and David - whom I'm not too thrilled about.

In the Bengals game, Hudson had three tackles with two for a loss. The way he explodes towards the football is exciting to watch and if the same trend continues in the coming weeks, a genuine breakout campaign represents a realistic objective.
