Which Washington Commanders players excelled during their preseason victory against the Cincinnati Bengals at FedEx Field?

The Washington Commanders are currently making their way through some difficult phone calls and in-person meetings as their roster gets trimmed from 90 to an initial 53. Players had one final chance to impress during Saturday's preseason contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, which was another opportunity for Ron Rivera and his staff to evaluate before coming to some formal conclusions.

That being said, here are four Commanders players who excelled in their 2023 preseason finale.

Mitchell Tinsley - Commanders WR

With five wide receiver spots seemingly locked, there could be one or two positions left. Mitchell Tinsley made his case emphatically during the final preseason game.

This young man had a fantastic game overall, coming up with some big plays when needed. Tinsley hauled in three receptions for 89 receiving yards and one score. He should have had two touchdowns but the call was challenged and reversed.

Even though Tinsley hasn't done much on special teams, being an offensive weapon is sure to at least keep him around.

The Commanders might keep seven wideouts and having someone like Tinsley along with Byron Pringle - who knows Eric Bieniemy's offense - couldn't hurt as well. Plus, with the concern around Terry McLaurin's injury status, this move makes sense.
