Dyami Brown - Commanders WR

Another relatively high NFL Draft pick that's flattered to deceive the Washington Commanders since joining the team is Dyami Brown. After coming in as a third-round selection with a ton of promise, the one-time North Carolina star hasn't met these expectations so far with just 17 receptions for 308 receiving yards and two touchdowns through his first two campaigns.

Generating targets with a prolific trio such as Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Jahan Dotson to depend upon is obviously difficult. It'll be interesting to see if things improve for Brown with his former college teammate Sam Howell at the quarterback position, which is something unlikely to go unnoticed by offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

While a leap forward for Brown cannot be dismissed, the Commanders brought in a plethora of undrafted free-agent wide receivers with bigger physical profiles. Something more in keeping with what Bieniemy normally seeks from a depth standpoint if his time on the Kansas City Chiefs was any indication.

If history's taught us anything, it's that a surprise or two will emerge throughout camp. Unless Brown also makes the necessary improvements in pursuit of an increased role, a situation could emerge where he plunges further down the depth chart - however unlikely it might seem.

What comes next is down to Brown, in all honesty. But make no mistake, the wideout should be under no illusions as to the size of the task awaiting him this summer.
