Which Washington Commanders find themselves firmly on the hot seat entering Week 9's game at the New England Patriots?

The Washington Commanders need to start picking up positive results. Five defeats in the last six is not a good look for head coach Ron Rivera, who's facing more questions about his job security than ever before as Josh Harris' ownership group begins to stamp their authority on the football operation.

Eugene Shen is the new analytics guru in keeping with Harris' preferred approach. The Commanders also dropped a bombshell this week by trading the defensive end duo of Montez Sweat and Chase Young before the deadline.

This only increases urgency ahead of what could be more landmark changes in the coming months. Therefore, it's important for those remaining to find a way to get the job done this afternoon against a struggling New England Patriots outfit.

With that in mind, here are four Commanders who find themselves on the hot seat entering Week 9 at Gillette Stadium.

Dyami Brown - Commanders WR

With Curtis Samuel missing the game through injury, an opportunity could knock for Dyami Brown in this one. The wide receiver - a former third-round pick out of North Carolina - has been an afterthought more often than not within Eric Bieniemy's scheme, which casts more doubt on his long-term future with the franchise.

While the Washington Commanders could get the likes of Logan Thomas and Jahan Dotson more involved with Samuel out, it would be a surprise if Brown didn't get a few more targets. Whether he can capitalize on them is another matter.
