4 Commanders on the hot seat entering Week 8 vs. Eagles

Andrew Wylie - Commanders OT
Did we mention the offensive line has stunk up the place over the first seven games?
The Washington Commanders need to get proactive in pursuit of solving this complex riddle. Ron Rivera is paying for some questionable investments and passing on some top-level talent from the college ranks this offseason, which has resulted in quarterback Sam Howell getting sacked at a historic pace up to now.
One player firmly under scrutiny is Andrew Wylie. The veteran right tackle has resembled a human turnstile more often than not, failing to meet expectations and leaving many wondering why the Commanders allocated decent money to secure his services in free agency.
Wylie's been quick to point out how tired he is of seeing Howell on his back. But the time for talk is long gone - action is all that matters right now.
It's unlikely the Commanders will bench Wylie for their game against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, another poor performance versus one of the league's most intimidating defensive fronts could see Washington permanently turn to Cornelius Lucas, instead.
The stakes couldn't be much higher for Wylie and almost everyone else on the offense line. Trying to establish the run might help, but such woeful pass protection and a clear inability to pick up even the most simple stunts don't exactly offer much confidence things will improve against dangerous opposition.
