Which Washington Commanders find themselves firmly on the hot seat entering their must-win game at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6?

If there was some slight concern following two losses against playoff-caliber opposition, things took a dark turn for the Washington Commanders after a primetime beatdown on home soil. Getting embarrassed by a team that hadn't tasted victory before last Thursday night was a harsh reality check and a significant dent in the pride of everyone involved, so a huge response is needed in pursuit of getting this ship back on track.

The Commanders have a stretch of winnable games coming up, starting this weekend at the Atlanta Falcons. Arthur Smith's men are performing above expectations so far and if they can get better production from quarterback Desmond Ridder, this team has genuine hope of making it into the postseason.

It'll be difficult, but not impossible if Washington takes pride in their performance. There is also the small matter of pressure mounting from top to bottom with members of Josh Harris' ownership group already reportedly looking for change in some capacity.

With this in mind, here are four Commanders on the hot seat entering Week 6 at the Falcons.

Joey Slye - Commanders K

It looked as if the Washington Commanders might make a fight of it in the second half against the Chicago Bears. However, another missed Joey Slye field goal sapped any slight momentum they managed to generate at the worst possible time.

This has been the story throughout Slye's career. He's got the leg strength to make kicks from almost anywhere, but the accuracy just isn't where it needs to be.

When a team is looking for a scapegoat, the kicker is normally the first to go. Therefore, it's imperative Slye is flawless at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 - especially if they decide to close their retractable roof at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
