Eric Bieniemy - Commanders OC

Eric Bieniemy's future is hanging in the balance right now. The assistant head coach/offensive coordinator has ruffled feathers throughout his brief stint with the Washington Commanders. We'll find out shortly whether it's been enough to enhance his head coaching credentials in 2024.

Bieniemy's hard-nosed approach hasn't been for everyone. Some have wilted under increased standards. Others have developed considerably under his expert leadership. But he's stayed true to himself and what he believes is the best formula for success.

The Commanders are likely going to be looking for a new head coach in 2024 after Ron Rivera's fourth-straight losing season. Bieniemy might be considered if the play-caller manages to finish the campaign on a positive note. If not, these enhanced credentials could tempt another organization to take the plunge.

Keeping up with the Los Angeles Rams offense isn't an easy proposition. They are explosive and well-balanced under Sean McVay. If the defense isn't up for the challenge, Bieniemy needs to ensure his offense is ready for a shootout.

Coming off the bye week might lead to improvements. There's been a lot of reflection from those in positions of power. Much will depend on Bieniemy's adjustments, but all hope is not lost by any stretch of the imagination.
