Kendall Fuller - Commanders CB

Emmanuel Forbes has missed the last two days of practice, so Wednesday will be telling as to whether the rookie cornerback will be able to participate against the Dallas Cowboys. With Benjamin St-Juste also going through some struggles, it puts the onus squarely on Kendall Fuller to come up with the goods in the face of wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

It might be worth the Washington Commanders having Fuller shadow Lamb rather than tasking St-Juste or a less than 100 percent Forbes with such significant responsibility. The veteran defensive back's been in decent form this season and this is the sort of challenge he'll relish, so it's something under-fire defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio should strongly consider.

Fuller is one of many Commanders players looking to finish the season strongly in pursuit of a new deal once his current contract expires next spring. If Washington's pending new regime decides to go in a different direction, the former third-round pick out of Virginia Tech needs to put out some good tape to increase interest when free agency begins.

There are few players more important to the Commanders' chances on Thanksgiving than Fuller. He's a big-time performer who thrives under the spotlight, but limiting Lamb's influence is easier said than done as his emergence into one of the NFL's most prolific wide receivers continues.
