Jamin Davis - Commanders LB

As mentioned, Tommy DeVito is again under center for the New York Giants this weekend. The undrafted free agent has been thrown into the fire with Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor on the shelf, so expect to see a heavy dose of running back Saquon Barkley after he wasn't given an injury designation for Week 11.

Barkley is a renowned tormentor of the Washington Commanders. This proved to be the case earlier in the season when the former first-round pick out of Penn State gained 118 all-purpose yards and a touchdown en route to a 14-7 win at MetLife Stadium.

If the Commanders want to stand any chance of blowing out the Giants, keeping Barkley contained is imperative. It also means linebacker Jamin Davis needs to be up for the challenge.

Davis has been hit-and-miss through 10 games. The help around him couldn't be classed as stellar by any stretch at the defensive second level, but there remains something missing in terms of run gap identification and having the necessary instincts to make big plays.

Much like the situation with Jonathan Allen, Davis has had some decent moments. But any lackluster football smarts going up against Barkley will come with grave consequences attached.

Be disciplined. Be at the heart of everything. And more importantly, be ready.
