Kazmeir Allen - Commanders WR/KR

It seems strange to call Kazmeir Allen a fan favorite considering he's only been part of the Washington Commanders for a few months and hasn't played a game yet. However, the team's long-suffering support took a shine to the undrafted free agent who the organization made a high-priority signing once the 2023 NFL Draft concluded.

Allen's elusiveness and ability to line up almost anywhere makes him an exciting weapon within Eric Bieniemy's complex scheme. But the former UCLA star's ability in the return game will be the primary reason why he's taken through onto the 53-man roster when it's all said and done.

Gaining substantial targets will be almost impossible considering the strength of Washington's wide receiver options. That means Allen must get his foot in the door somehow, so focusing on special teams looks like the best way to accomplish this feat initially.

Allen will battle it out with Dax Mile for return duties unless someone comes from nowhere. Missing a large part of early workouts through injury wasn't the best start, but that will be forgotten if he puts in the performances needed at training camp.

Ron Rivera has spoken glowingly of Allen and what he might be able to contribute in 2023. But absolutely nothing is given and unless the wideout earns his spot, then the Commanders could stick with Milne if he continues his strong offseason period throughout camp.
