Commanders win by 10+ points

If the result was more important than the performance last time out at the Atlanta Falcons, expectations have risen for Week 7 versus the New York Giants. If everyone performs up to requirements, then a fourth victory of 2023 for the Washington Commanders won't be too far behind.

Of course, it could all go horribly wrong. But confidence should be high and the depleted Giants are going through some serious issues right now at 1-5 following their playoff appearance in Brian Daboll's first year as head coach.

Providing the Commanders don't go into this game just expecting to win, they should have more than enough in their locker for a valuable road triumph. However, head coach Ron Rivera has stated on countless occasions this week that anything can happen where division games are concerned.

If the Commanders can contain running back Saquon Barkley and prevent New York's defensive front from pressurizing quarterback Sam Howell, it might just end up being a comfortable afternoon at the office. That's almost been a foreign concept to Washington under Rivera, but it's something that cannot be dismissed entirely.

Winning by 10 or more points at MetLife Stadium would be a best-case scenario. Something that would get the Commanders to 4-3 on the season and raise confidence heading into their sold-out Week 8 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on home soil.
