3 trades the Commanders should consider once sale receives approval

Commanders could trade for Patrick Queen
As previously stated, the Washington Commanders look desperately thin of dependable linebacking options looking at their current personnel. Why this position group continues to be ignored is anyone's guess, but it might be wise to bring in further reinforcements once there is the financial clout to do so under new ownership.
Jamin Davis is a potential breakout candidate in Year 3 of his career, which is the undoubted positive at the defensive second level. The Commanders also brought in Cody Barton in free agency as a direct replacement for Cole Holcomb, who departed for the Pittsburgh Steelers even though Washington declared an intent to keep him around.
Washington's strength across their secondary means plenty of nickel-and-dime packages are expected under Jack Del Rio next season. If the Commanders want to expand their horizons on defense, then perhaps examining what Patrick Queen could be available for via trade becomes an option.
Queen surprisingly didn't get his fifth-year option picked up despite some outstanding numbers for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. While the player has stated a willingness to prove worthy of a large financial commitment, a situation could emerge where the organization looks to maximize trade value.
This makes a ton of sense from Washington's standpoint. Queen represents a prolific third linebacking option to put alongside Barton and Davis, which opens things up further in terms of scheme diversity for Del Rio along the way.
