Positivity is high across the Washington Commanders right now. Three successive victories following their opening-day loss at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have fans dreaming of brighter days and improved fortunes moving forward. There remains a sense of cautiousness about the team's chances in 2024, but these are diminishing rapidly.

It's been the stuff of dreams so far. The Commanders are 3-1 with a decent stretch of games coming over the next month. If they can generate further momentum heading into the midway point, it could change general manager Adam Peters' plans before the trade deadline if there is a legitimate chance Washington can make some noise in the postseason.

There's a long way to go and a lot of hard work ahead before that. All it takes is one or two defeats to change the landscape, but hope springs eternal with their Week 5 contest against the Cleveland Browns on the immediate horizon.

With this in mind, here are three reasons why the Commanders will beat the Browns at Northwest Stadium.

Reasons the Commanders will win vs. the Browns in Week 5

Jayden Daniels continues his ascent

Jayden Daniels has been one of the league's best players through four weeks. He may be a rookie, but he doesn't play like one. When the pocket collapses, he looks like a civilian with his hands in his pockets, casually strolling down the sidewalk.

Expect it to continue this weekend. With Myles Garrett coming off the edge, many are wondering if Daniels will face his first real test. But could go the other way.

Garrett is one of the most accomplished edge rushers in the NFL. But with the state of the Commanders' improved offensive line, expect Kliff Kingsbury and Daniels' superior arm talent to all but neutralize him.

This is the type of game where Daniels carves the other team up. Terry McLaurin has caught two touchdown passes in the last two weeks, and a third should be on the horizon.

Daniels' first career 300-yard passing game is coming. Look for him to lead the Commanders to another dominant win.
