Brian Robinson Jr. - Commanders RB

Aside from a late-season injury, Brian Robinson Jr. is another bright spot that the Washington Commanders can build around under their new regime. The running back into the campaign looking to cement his status as the No. 1 backfield option. Something he's managed impressively en route to becoming a genuine three-down threat.

Robinson's proven capable of handling a heavy workload. His field vision and ability to absorb contact have improved immensely. The former Alabama star is also developing some encouraging traits as a pass-catcher to further enhance his influence.

Had Robinson not suffered a complication on the health front over Washington's recent games, there's a good chance he would have broken the 1,000-yard rushing barrier. That doesn't look possible with only two games remaining, but it does not detract from what an outstanding contribution he's made to Washington's cause this season.

With Antonio Gibson out of contract and his future with the Commanders in doubt, it would be a surprise if running back reinforcements didn't arrive. Regardless of what transactions occur, Robinson's role should only increase with another offseason of development under his belt.

It's been difficult to find the right balance between run and pass for Eric Bieniemy on occasion. But make no mistake, Robinson has the tools to be a focal point under the new coaching staff in 2024 and beyond.
