Bold predictions for Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell as he goes in search of success versus the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

It's been a wonderful start to Sam Howell's season. The quarterback was shown a significant amount of faith by Ron Rivera and his coaching staff throughout the summer - something he's repaid over the opening fortnight to formally announce himself on the NFL stage.

Howell's gained some deserved national recognition for his sensational comeback at the Denver Broncos in Week 2. The Washington Commanders' defense led the way, but some of the throws made by the former fifth-round selection were nothing short of jaw-dropping to get points on the board.

Next up for Howell is testing his mettle against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. This represents the sternest challenge for the North Carolina product so far and will provide a broader indication of what more he needs to do in pursuit of entering the elite category somewhere down the line.

Looking ahead to the clash. here are three bold predictions for Howell versus the Bills in Week 3.

Sam Howell completes 75 percent of passes

Eric Bieniemy is doing a wonderful job of scheming things up and making things easier for Sam Howell through Week 2. The play-caller's screen game is working wonders so far, but the signal-caller's also shown potential when it comes to getting the football downfield and fitting dimes into tight windows.

Howell's completion percentage over the first two games stands at 65.7, good enough for No. 17 league-wide. Sitting atop the list is Josh Allen at 76.9, so it's not hard to see how important this statistic will be in pursuit of a third-straight victory for the Washington Commanders.

If Howell can somehow get his completion success rate to 75 percent for this one, it'll go a long way to improving Washington's chances of attaining success.
