Commanders DE Efe Obada gains 2+ sacks

The Washington Commanders have some difficult decisions to make on their defensive front during final cuts. Some talented players are going to be sacrificed given the strength-in-depth at Jack Del Rio's disposal, which won't go unnoticed by other teams across the league looking for assistance in this key area of play.

One player that should be confident of securing a place on the 53-man roster is Efe Obada. The versatile lineman is a trusted ally of Ron Rivera's and knows how to make the most out of whatever reps come his way as a rotational presence.

Obada's reputation for putting up numbers with limited involvement is something every team craves. His versatility to play as an outside defensive end or as a three-technique on the interior is something else working in his favor.

The Nigerian-born player's colorful journey into the NFL is an inspiring one. It also ensures there will be absolutely no complacency whatsoever in pursuit of similar involvement with the Commanders in 2023.

If Obada can gain two sacks against the Cincinnati Bengals in Washington's last preseason game, it'll give the physical performer plenty of confidence heading into the campaign. However, how much he'll be on the field is largely dependent on health across the unit and how much Del Rio plans to rotate his pass-rushers.
