Kazmeir Allen scores two Commanders TDs

As previously stated, there don't seem to be many open spots available on the Washington Commanders heading into their last preseason engagement against the Cincinnati Bengals. Perhaps the biggest remaining conundrum centers on the kick return position and who'll assume responsibilities when competitive games commence.

At least from the outside looking in, this could be a straight fight between Dax Milne and Kazmeir Allen for the spot. There isn't much splitting the two at this late stage, either.

Milne is the proven commodity - albeit with inconsistent production more often than not. Allen represents the wildcard that could be absolutely anything both in the return game and as a multi-purpose weapon within Eric Bieniemy's complex offensive scheme.

There's been nothing but positive vibes emanating from the Commanders surrounding Allen. So a strong end to the preseason might be enough to tip the scales in his favor once and for all.

The former BYU star won't be giving up his spot without a fight. However, the undrafted free agent out of UCLA has that dynamic ability to make people miss that cannot be ignored.

If Allen comes away from Washington's latest warmup with two touchdowns - whether it be in the return game, as a runner out of the backfield, or catching passes - that'll be enough for a spot on the 53.
