Commanders QB Sam Howell gains 320+ passing yards

It wasn't the best performance from Sam Howell last time out at the Dallas Cowboys. But he is way down the list of problems facing the Washington Commanders currently.

There's a growing belief the Commanders might have found their franchise quarterback at long last. A new coaching regime could boast different ideas, so finishing off the campaign strongly is only going to help Howell's chances of being under center in 2024.

Going toe to toe with the Miami Dolphins is a difficult ask for any quarterback. They can put up points quickly and get themselves out of sight, so Howell and his teammates cannot put a foot wrong to keep this contest competitive.

Howell is a gunslinger. This can sometimes be to his detriment, but the former fifth-round pick won't have much of a choice if the Dolphins come out of the gates flying.

The NFL's passing yards leader won't be overawed by the occasion. Howell's taken everything in his stride this season, has demonstrated encouraging growth, and always follows up an indifferent performance with a good one.

With this in mind, we're backing Howell to throw for more than 320 passing yards. This is a testament to the signal-caller's production against top-level opposition this season and the fact Washington will have a hard time keeping up otherwise.
