The Washington Commanders should be fresh and rejuvenated after their extended rest period during the bye week. Dan Quinn admitted that his young squad was running on empty after 13 straight games. This break should heal ailments and ensure everyone is ready to finish strongly down the stretch.
There is all to play for. The Commanders still hold the seventh seed in the NFC, although the Los Angeles Rams are now just one game back after an upset win over the Buffalo Bills. Quinn's men also also within touching distance of the sixth seed, so it's a high-stakes situation over the business end of the campaign.
This is a time for strong characters and professional purpose. The Commanders are way ahead of schedule right now. Letting all their hard work earlier in the season go to waste is simply not an option.
General manager Adam Peters will be examining developments in greater detail. He'll find out plenty about this group in the coming weeks. Some will thrive with the spotlight glaring. Others will wilt under the pressure and won't be part of the team's plans.

Noah Brown - Commanders WR
Noah Brown is a decent enough rotational option in the wide receiver room. The Washington Commanders brought him into the organization just before the campaign following his release from the Houston Texans. His size and ability to stretch the field have been an asset for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Brown's had some problems with drops. He draws plenty of defensive pass interference calls thanks to his imposing frame, but the former seventh-round selection hasn't emerged as a legitimate No. 2 alongside Terry McLaurin.
The Commanders don't have much else in the wideout room. Brown will get plenty of opportunities over Washington's four remaining regular-season games. How he performs will go a long way to determining whether he'll be offered another deal or not.
This is an audition for Brown to prove worthy of being part of this exciting project long-term. He's got the talent and boasts plenty of memorable highlights in 2024 so far. That said, his situation remains precarious until further notice.
