For the first time since the 2005 season, the Washington Commanders have won a playoff game and are advancing to the next round of the postseason. While there were plenty of other factors that went into the Commanders knocking off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on their home turf, Zane Gonzalez's game-winning field goal that doinked off the upright but still went in is one of the first things people will think of when discussing this game.

With how exciting the final play of the Commanders' 23-20 win ended up being, it's no surprise that the radio call and the reactions from the on-air talent made it even sweeter. The Sunday Night Football on NBC account on X shared a clip of London Fletcher's reaction to the game-winning doink and it's absolutely worth watching.

London Fletcher had an epic reaction to Commanders' game-winning field goal

The best part about this clip is that Fletcher doesn't even say anything for most of it. The former Washington linebacker watched Gonzalez's attempt eventually doink its way in and then started pumping his fists repeatedly while Bram Weinstein provided the game-winning call. After Weinstein yelled, "It is.... GOOD!", Fletcher went nuts with the fist-pumping, which is how a lot of Commanders fans probably reacted when this play happened.

Fletcher's reaction is epic but we have to applaud Weinstein's call here as well. "The cardiac Commanders are the clutch Commanders!" is an iconic line.

"We'll see you in Detroit!" Weinstein yelled as Fletcher continued to pump his fists. Fletcher then took a break from fist-pumping to high-five his on-air teammate and give his own take. "... and Zane Gonzalez kicks in the doink and kicks us into the second round of the playoffs!"

Fletcher spent seven of his 16 seasons in the NFL with the Washington franchise and joined the on-air team in 2022. It's not hard to see why he was hired for the job with the enthusiasm he had for this game-winning field goal and hopefully we get to see Fletcher make an ecstatic call again next week in Detroit.
