The Washington Commanders are back in action after their well-deserved bye week. They are playing meaningful games in December for the first time in a while. Coping with the added pressure is crucial to make the knockout stages.
Traveling to the New Orleans Saints represents a good chance for the Commanders to maintain their grip on the seventh seed. Depending on how the Green Bay Packers fare at the Seattle Seahawks, they could even have sixth place once the Week 15 slate concludes.
Marshon Lattimore is making his first appearance for the Commanders in familiar surroundings. The four-time Pro Bowl cornerback doesn't carry an injury designation for the game after recovering from a hamstring issue. He'll also be highly motivated considering the Saints traded him away before the deadline.
There is no margin for error where the Commanders are concerned, especially after the Los Angeles Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football. It's a time for big characters and high-level professionalism. Everything should take care of itself after that.

Jayden Daniels returns to the region where he starred at LSU en route to the Heisman Trophy in 2023. This is a business trip for the signal-caller, who must be the driving force down the stretch if Washington wants to cement its place in the postseason.
Daniels looked like his old self against the Tennessee Titans to get out of his mini-slump. Getting a prolonged rest over the bye week should have helped greatly, but he'll have to cope without the services of wide receiver Noah Brown after the pass-catcher was placed on injured reserve with a serious internal issue.
