The Washington Commanders have had a relatively good run of luck on the health front this season. There are many other factors behind their sensational 6-2 start, but this has helped considerably.
Only defensive tackle Jonathan Allen is a long-term absentee. Everything has gone according to plan aside from that, so it's no wonder why the Commanders are being viewed as a surprising potential postseason challenger in Year 1 under new head coach Dan Quinn.
Jayden Daniels wasn't given an injury designation for the contest at the New York Giants after he played through a painful rib issue to spearhead Washington's dramatic victory over the Chicago Bears. Expectations are surging where the rookie signal-caller is concerned, but the Commanders always believe they have a chance with the No. 2 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft leading the charge.
There were some concerns this week about the status of Brian Robinson Jr. The running back missed one game earlier this season with a knee complication. He didn't participate in practices much heading into the contest, which led the Commanders to elevate Chris Rodriguez Jr. from the practice squad.
It's all hands on deck besides that. The Commanders are as healthy as they could be at this time of year. Something they hope will continue long into the future with their bye week still a long way off.
This made selecting those who missed out in Week 9 at MetLife Stadium difficult. Some players aren't in favor currently. That much is blatantly obvious looking at their distinct lack of involvement during Washington's rapid renaissance.
On this topic, let's take a look at which players won't be suiting up for this divisional matchup.
