The Washington Commanders had some injury concerns to navigate before their Week 11 showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. Lincoln Financial Field doesn't represent the easiest proposition at the best of times, least of all when a team is under-strength. Something that makes the challenge more difficult for head coach Dan Quinn's squad on Thursday Night Football.

There's been a mixture of good news and bad on the health front where Washington is concerned leading into this pivotal NFC East rivalry.

The Commanders won't have the services of recently acquired cornerback Marshon Lattimore, which is a setback considering the success wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith have enjoyed in this fixture. However, this trade was always with the business end of the campaign and the postseason in mind. Erring on the side of caution is the correct approach.

Another key absentee is kicker Austin Seibert. The ultra-consistent presence missed last weekend's defeat versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Zane Gonzalez came in off the street and didn't put a foot wrong. This represents a different - and far more intimidating - challenge entirely.

Washington also got a huge boost amid this doom and gloom.

After an encouraging week of practice - albeit a short one - running back Brian Robinson Jr. wasn't given an injury designation and is good to go. The former third-round pick missed the last two games with a hamstring issue, so he might not be ready for a full workload. But make no mistake, having him out there gives the Eagles something else to think about alongside rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels in the backfield.

Fans are nervously awaiting developments regarding Washington's three offensive tackles, all of whom are listed as questionable. Andrew Wylie, Brandon Coleman, and Cornelius Lucas' respective statuses are all in doubt. Not having them would be a body blow in such a hostile environment.

This is a huge game in more ways than one. It's all hands on deck for the Commanders, who can regain the initiative and cement their credentials as a playoff contender with victory as the national NFL audience watches on. Whether this is a step too far remains to be seen, but it'll be fascinating to see unfold.
