The Washington Commanders travel to the Baltimore Ravens in arguably their biggest test of the season.

This will be two of the best offenses in the league through the first five weeks of the season squaring up for a shootout. It will also determine if this offense, and the team in general, is that good.

Due to this, there are a lot of fantasy implications for this match-up. Let's see who you should start and who you should sit. in Week 6

Commanders fantasy football starts and sits for Week 6

Starts

Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels is a superstar. His rushing upside makes him match-up proof, so it doesn't matter how good of a defense he's playing. To make matters better for the signal-caller, the Ravens are allowing the fourth most points to quarterbacks in fantasy football thus far.

You should be starting Daniels over any quarterback now, even Josh Allen after his indifferent performance in Week 5.

Austin Ekeler

Austin Ekeler has already looked great in 2024. With Brian Robinson Jr. ruled out for the Commanders' game at the Ravens, the veteran should be in for a heavy workload.

The Ravens are allowing the fifth least amount of points to running backs, but Ekeler should be able to make up for the lack of rushing production in the passing game, especially if the Commanders are playing from behind.

Start Ekeler as a low-end RB2 or luxury flex option against the Ravens.

Terry McLaurin

Terry McLaurin has been the WR12 in fantasy football over the last three weeks, averaging 17.2 points per game in PPR (points per reception) format. These numbers could have been way better if he didn't drop a 12-yard touchdown in Week 5, a catch he usually makes.

As long as Daniels keeps on targeting McLaurin like the alpha receiver he is, he should be at least a weekly WR2 with upside.

The Ravens are also allowing the sixth most points to wide receivers in 2024. Start McLaurin as a high-end WR2 or potentially WR1 option this week.

Zach Ertz

Zach Ertz hasn't done much for fantasy in 2024, but neither have tight ends as a whole. The veteran is only averaging seven points per game in PPR he is still the TE16. He earns targets in this offense and the Ravens are allowing the sixth most points to tight ends in 2024.

Stream Ertz as a low-end TE1 against the Ravens unless you have an elite option.

Sits

Jeremy McNichols

Jeremy McNichols looked awesome when he got touches this season. Unfortunately, this likely won't be the case against a stout Ravens defense. The running back should get some touches with Robinson out, but not nearly enough to volume his way to fantasy relevance.

If you are forced to start McNichols this week, you are hoping for a touchdown. Keep him on your bench.

Other Commanders' wideouts

Outside of McLaurin, the Commanders' receivers haven't been fantasy-relevant at all. Daniels likes to spread the ball to several targets and it's a carousel of snaps between Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Dyami Brown.

Brown is still listed as questionable against the Ravens, so keep him on the bench even in deeper leagues in case he doesn't play. If he does, he will likely see the most snaps of these receivers, but it hasn't proved to be valuable for fantasy.

McCaffrey is getting open a lot, but Daniels doesn't see him. Until they start clicking, keep the rookie third-rounder on your bench.

Besides the outlier Week 4 game where Zaccheaus caught all six of his targets for 85 receiving yards, he has only earned five targets. He should be on your bench in all leagues. Brown has a chance for a deep touchdown due to his speed, but it's not something you should count on.

Commanders' defense

This game is looking to be a shootout. Yes, the defense has stepped up the past two weeks, but they are not playing against the Cleveland Browns or Arizona Cardinals this week. Baltimore's offense has been one of the top units in the league and is the hardest matchup for fantasy defenses.
