The Washington Commanders took their first loss since Week 1 during their road trip against the Baltimore Ravens. Even with the loss, the offense continued to produce, which means there are still plenty of fantasy football points to go around.

The Carolina Panthers are a great match-up for all positions in fantasy, so expect a lot of fantasy points for your Commanders stars this week.

Commanders fantasy football starts and sits for Week 7

Starts

Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels continued to perform for fantasy against the Ravens, finishing as the QB11 on the week with 20.96 points. He continues to be a must-start every week no matter the match-up.

The Panthers are giving up the 12th most points to quarterbacks in fantasy football. Start Daniels this week and as a long-term piece.

Brian Robinson Jr.

It's looking like Brian Robinson Jr. will be back after missing Week 7 with a knee injury. Even with missing a week, he is the RB17 on the season, averaging 15.5 points per game. He has gotten at least 15 touches in four out of five games he has played.

Robinson is going up against the team giving up the most fantasy points to running backs. With the Commanders being a much better team thus far in 2024, a lead should be able to be obtained. This gives the offense a positive game script which calls for a lot of rushes if the former Alabama star is healthy enough.

Start Robinson as an RB2 with upside this week.

Terry McLaurin

Terry McLaurin continues to grow his connection with Daniels. He is putting up high-caliber production, especially for fantasy, Over the last four weeks, the wide receiver is averaging 18.7 points per game, good for the overall WR5 in that span. He is also scoring at a massive rate, putting up four touchdowns.

With Daniels showing no signs of slowing down, we should expect no signs of slowing down for his alpha receiver McLaurin. The Panthers are also giving up the 13th most fantasy points to wide receivers.

Start McLaurin as a low end WR1 this week.

Noah Brown

To be clear, Noah Brown is only a start for deeper leagues.

In Week 6, Brown seemed to take his WR2 role in the Commanders' offense, earning eight targets and catching four of them for 58 receiving yards. He is the next-best perimeter receiver on the team after McLaurin. Daniels is starting to look his way more.

With the Panthers being an easier match-up, Brown has a chance to put up a decent outing, making him a good enough flex-start for deeper leagues if you have a lot of injuries or bye weeks.

Zach Ertz

Zach Ertz is not a flashy start by any means, but he is worth it in this match-up. He gets targets every week and finally went over 50 receiving yards last week. With how bad the tight-end position is in fantasy right now, he might be the best you have.

The Panthers are giving up the 11th most fantasy points to tight ends. Start Ertz this week unless you have a clear top 10 option.

Austin Seibert

Austin Seibert continues to be one of the best fantasy kickers. He is the K1 on the season since his record-breaking Week 2 debut and is leading all kickers in points per game with 13.4.

Seibert should be starting over any other kicker this week.

Sits

Austin Ekeler

Austin Ekeler has played great this season, and he will continue to do so against the Panthers. But with Robinson back, it isn't likely that he will get enough touches in a likely positive game script.

Keep Ekeler on your benches this week.

Other Commanders' receivers

We discussed Brown as a flex start in deeper leagues this week, but that's not the case for the rest of the Commanders' wideouts. Daniels unfortunately doesn't look Luke McCaffrey's way. Olamide Zaccheaus and Dyami Brown are too inconsistent with snaps and targets to trust playing them.

Keep McCaffrey, Zaccheaus, and Brown on your bench in all leagues this week.

Commanders defense

Andy Dalton has given the Panthers' offense a spark, which isn't good for a subpar Commanders' defense. Don't expect a shootout, but you also shouldn't expect a great performance by the defense.

Keep the Commanders' defense on waivers this week.
