Commanders at Saints early odds and prediction for Week 15 game
By Dean Jones
The Washington Commanders are coming off their bye week with fresh purpose and focus. They are right in the playoff mix and can confirm their place in the knockout rounds with a strong end to the campaign, starting in Week 15 at the New Orleans Saints.
This is a new experience for the Commanders. It's been a long time since there was this much positivity around the organization. Head coach Dan Quinn wants his squad to relish the moment, take things one game at a time, and remain composed in the pressure cooker. That's the way he believes Washington can meet raised expectations.
The Saints still harbor slim hopes of making the postseason following their narrow triumph over the New York Giants. They'll need to win out and hope results go in their favor, which seems unlikely. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi is also without some key personnel for this weekend's contest on home turf.
Opportunity knocks for the Commanders. Capitalizing on it with professionalism and conviction is crucial.

Commanders at Saints prediction for Week 15
This is a must-win game for the Commanders. They are coming off their bye week and need to start the stretch run on the right foot. In all honesty, they'll never get a better opportunity despite being on the road.
The Commanders are heavily favored thanks in no small part to Derek Carr's status. New Orleans' starting signal-caller went down last weekend with a fractured hand and is also in the NFL's concussion protocol. That almost certainly rules him out versus Washington, leaving Quinn facing the prospect of dealing with either Jake Haener or rookie Spencer Rattler.
Becoming complacent is not an option. The Commanders still have some notable dangers to deal with — namely running back Alvin Kamara and tight end Juwan Johnson. Adopting the same ruthless mindset that's disposed inferior opposition throughout the campaign should be enough to silence the crowd and get the job done.
- Prediction: Commanders win
It would be immensely disappointing if the Commanders didn't emerge victorious from this one. If they handle the pressure effectively and settle some early nerves, a comfortable triumph shouldn't be too far behind.
