The Washington Commanders got the NFL's attention after a sensational run during the 2024 season. They went from bottom-feeders to legitimate Super Bowl contenders during an incredible year that captured the imagination and reignited the fanbase. Building on this momentum is crucial.

Success in Year 1 was the biggest positive imaginable for a franchise in the doldrums. However, there's a price that comes with this newfound positivity that raises urgency to make the necessary improvements throughout the offseason.

The Commanders' schedule in 2025 was officially confirmed at the season's end. It was the last thing on the mind of Washington's fanbase given their fairytale postseason run that fell agonizingly short in the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, it should be at the forefront of everyone's mind.

Washington has eight home games at Northwest Stadium and nine on the road. There might be an international contest and a few more primetime games thanks to the team's resurgence. Head coach Dan Quinn's squad proved they're a match for anybody, but getting complacent is not an option.

Let's take a look at who the Commanders will play during the 2025 regular season.

This looks like a murderer's row for the Commanders. But they won't be looking at these fixtures with any dread that's for sure.

Gaining success in their divisional battles will be key. Washington went 4-2 in the NFC East this season and needs to do the same or better next time around. This will provide the springboard needed to enhance the team's playoff aspirations.

There is also a legitimate home-field advantage for the first time in decades. The fans are revitalized and excited for the future. Games against the Seahawks, Broncos, Raiders, and Bears are winnable. Washington's clash with the Detroit Lions has a revenge element attached after Quinn ousted Dan Campbell's men from the playoffs.

To say the Commanders have some testing road contests would be an understatement. Aside from their division battles, Washington is also traveling to the Packers, Chiefs, Vikings, Falcons, and Dolphins. This will be challenging, but Quinn and his players will be relishing the chance to go up versus some of the NFL's elite.

The Commanders have nothing to fear. Not anymore.

This a franchise on the up that is only going to get better with the resources available to general manager Adam Peters in the coming months. They were once seen as a demoralized walkover just a few short months ago. They altered this perception in one season under Quinn's guidance.

It'll be tough, there's no getting away from that. However, the Commanders are brimming with confidence. And with Daniels' electrifying presence under center, they'll always have a chance.
