Who are the announcers and referees for Commanders vs. Saints today?
By Dean Jones
Dan Quinn urged his Washington Commanders squad to focus on what they can control and take things one game at a time in pursuit of the postseason. That starts by securing another road win at the New Orleans Saints in Week 15.
The Commanders should be well-rested coming off their bye week. They have destiny in their hands, although the Los Angeles Rams piled more pressure on Washington with a Thursday Night Football success over the San Francisco 49ers.
This increases the need for Washington to emerge victorious from this one. The Saints won't be doing them any favors, but not having veteran quarterback Derek Carr and several other key contributors works in Quinn's favor.
It will be an emotional occasion for cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who'll be making his long-awaited debut versus the team that traded him away. Based on his comments to the media this week, the motivation to make them pay for deeming him expendable should inspire the entire locker room to another professional performance.
Anything but a win is not an option. The Commanders need to start well and take the raucous New Orleans faithful out of the equation. If they can do this and make backup signal-caller Jake Haener's life uncomfortable, it would be surprising if Washington didn't secure a ninth victory of the campaign.
