Chris Moore - Commanders WR

If the Washington Commanders want to maximize quarterback Jayden Daniels' rookie contract, they need to enhance his supporting cast. The offensive line looks pretty secure if Chris Paul is re-signed, so Adam Peters' attention must go to the skill positions.

David Blough's promotion to offensive coordinator brings significant intrigue. He's gained widespread plaudits around the league, and he's expected to run a pro-style offense to bring the best out of Daniels.

Several acquisitions are needed in the wide receiver room. Terry McLaurin is the only wideout under contract with accomplished production to call upon. Hopes are high that Jaylin Lane and Luke McCaffrey can make improvements, but that's about all Washington has right now.

Regardless of what new faces come into the fold, Chris Moore's chances with the club should have run out. And in all honesty, it's been a long time coming for someone who constantly fluffs his lines in a competitive setting.

George Fant - Commanders OT

The Commanders have already given versatile offensive lineman Andrew Wylie a new two-year deal ahead of free agency. This was well received, especially given the money involved. But there is a long way to go before Adam Peters can be satisfied with the depth of Washington's protection.

Chris Paul's future is the biggest talking point. He performed extremely well from the starting left guard position, but he's a pending free agent and may not return if a bigger offer arrives in free agency. Others are also set to test the market, so Adam Peters needs to think on his feet.

Either way, it would be a bombshell if George Fant got another deal. The offensive tackle was signed relatively late in the summer, but he didn't see one snap on the offensive rotation. He only gained 23 special-teams snaps, so all signs are pointing to his departure.

Antonio Hamilton Sr. - Commanders CB

The Commanders need a rethink in their cornerback room. Too many failed to meet expectations in 2025. And with several veterans either entering free agency or in danger of being released, general manager Adam Peters once again needs to give this unit a major overhaul.

Marshon Lattimore could be cut. Jonathan Jones and Noah Igbinoghene are free agents and may not be back. The same goes for Antonio Hamilton Sr., who also didn't quite do enough for an extended stay.

Hamilton turned in an outstanding performance in Week 15 against the New York Giants, but it was a fleeting contribution aside from that. The veteran is also 33 now, so re-signing him for another go-around would send the wrong message to fans pleading for younger, fresher alternatives.

Washington isn't going to let everyone leave. Even so, it's hard to envisage a scenario where Hamilton is retained.
