Luke McCaffrey gains 80+ receiving yards

Luke McCaffrey is due a genuine breakout performance. The rookie wide receiver is performing well, emerging as a tremendous blocker and boasting one of the league's best separation rates for good measure. Jayden Daniels hasn't looked for him all that much, but it won't be long before he's more involved if the same trend continues.

The Commanders have been spreading the wealth on offense. Daniels is keeping opposing defenses guessing by not keying on one or two guys. Everyone is contributing. That will be needed now more than ever versus a talented but vulnerable Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 6.

McCaffrey's ability to create separation could make a massive difference. His 6-foot-2 frame and outstanding body control make him an asset in contested catch situations. He's also got enough athleticism to generate yards after the catch and protect the football from big hits that inevitably arrive.

Perhaps the Commanders will rely more on their experienced figures in this one. However, deploying McCaffrey as a big slot option and getting him plenty of targets might be a surprise Baltimore isn't ready for from a volume standpoint.

Jeremy Chinn leads the Commanders in tackles

There aren't many more important players in Week 6 than Jeremy Chinn. The athletic specimen does his best work around the line of scrimmage where he can be instinctive and reach the contact point quickly. That's exactly what the Commanders need versus arguably the best backfield tandem anywhere in the league.

Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry have the scope to take over a game if given enough space. Chinn needs to have his eyes on the two-time NFL MVP at all times, ready to pounce if he begins scrambling or tries to improvise over the middle of the field. The former second-round selection also needs to recognize where the physical running back is looking to go and arrive violently to meet him.

This is Chinn's bread and butter. It's why he took the NFL by storm as a rookie for the Carolina Panthers in 2020. The Commanders need to maximize his athleticism and instincts to support Frankie Luvu and Bobby Wagner rather than focusing too much on the backend.

That's a risk - especially given Jackson's precision in the passing game when opportunities arise - but it's the only option. If Chinn can lead the team in tackles, that will go a long way to silencing the doubters who surfaced when he fell out of favor under Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.
