Dan Quinn leads his troops on the short trip to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6. The Ravens have won three straight and look like a team capable of going deep into the postseason once again. They have Pro Bowl and All-Pro talent everywhere across the roster. This is an acid test in no uncertain terms for this fledgling project with some winnable games upcoming after.
The fact Washington is in this position represents a dream for fans. There's a level of positivity and genuine excitement that hasn't been seen for decades. It's not just the on-field results, it's the collective purpose and strategic planning. Things are happening much quicker than anyone thought, but the short and long-term goals within the building remain the same.
If they can somehow beat the Ravens on the road this weekend, expectations will take off into another realm entirely. With this in mind, here are five bold Commanders predictions in Week 6 at M&T Bank Stadium.
Bold Commanders predictions in Week 6 at the Ravens
Commanders gain 110+ rushing yards
This is the irresistible force versus the immovable object. The Washington Commanders have one of the best rushing attacks in football. The Baltimore Ravens have the NFL's stingiest run defense. It's a meeting of the minds and a battle that will play a leading role in the overall outcome.
The Commanders have nothing to fear. They boast Brian Robinson Jr., Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols, and rookie dual-threat quarterback Jayden Daniels. This is the sternest challenge they've faced so far, but going away from the ground game that's been so successful is simply not an option.
Baltimore is giving up just 60.4 rushing yards per game, which is nothing short of outstanding. Washington's offensive line needs to continue its high-performance levels and increase them to carve up the running lanes needed to do damage. Kliff Kingsbury needs to be inventive in his play-calling to expose whatever weak links he believes reside on the Ravens' front seven.
They're hard to find, in all honesty. It'll be a hard slog for the rushing attack, but getting over 100 yards on the ground could set the Commanders up nicely.
