Dyami Brown – Commanders WR

  • Round No. 3 (Pick No. 83)
  • 2021 NFL Draft

Another from the 2021 NFL Draft class that has yet to make his presence felt prominently is Dyami Brown. The wide receiver was taken No. 83 overall despite some impressive pass-catchers already on the books, which made things difficult for the player to firmly establish himself.

Brown fell further down the pecking order in 2022 after the Commanders selected Jahan Dotson with their first-round pick. Just 14 targets came for the one-time North Carolina stud last season, so it remains to be seen whether or not he can acquire additional involvement under Eric Bieniemy.

One positive Brown has going for him next season is the potential for former college teammate Sam Howell to be manning things permanently under center. The pair developed tremendous chemistry with the Tar Heels, which could see the signal-caller become reliant on the wideout given their previous connection.

This is a hugely important campaign for Brown from a personal standpoint. The term draft bust could be labeled at his door considering he was a top-100 pick, so the player faces a significant battle to prove his doubters wrong when competitive action resumes once again.

With the promise of further reinforcements arriving from the next batch of college recruits, this only makes things more difficult for Brown. A challenge he must be ready for in no uncertain terms.
