Commanders could draft Cedric Tillman

As stated previously, the Washington Commanders aren’t exactly crying out for wide receiver help heading into the 2023 NFL Draft. Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Jahan Dotson should all thrive within Eric Bieniemy’s scheme, with the prospect of further progress from Dyami Brown something else that cannot be dismissed entirely.

Ron Rivera stated at the NFL owners’ meetings that the Commanders want to take the best player available regardless of need. If that means a wideout that’s high on their board falls to a place where they feel value could be had, it appears as if the notion will be considered.

One player that looks tailor-made for Bieniemy’s creative offensive system is Cedric Tillman. While Jalin Hyatt is gaining more attention throughout the assessment process, his college teammate at Tennessee has some outstanding athletic credentials that could make him an NFL star in no time at all.

Tillman has size and length that could become a mismatch nightmare in the right fit. This is coupled with surprising top-end speed, a large catch radius, and assured hands that make him a substantial threat all over the field.

If Bieniemy likes him enough and has the stroke to convince Rivera this is a chance worth taking on Day 2, then it cannot be ruled out. Whether Tillman will be on the board at No. 47 overall is the big question.
