In what ways have the Washington Commanders won during an immensely interesting 2023 off-season for the franchise so far?

It’s been one story after another where the Washington Commanders are concerned this offseason. While there’s been a little less drama compared to recent years, it’s still something that’s kept fans engaged as preparations are set to ramp up for the 2023 campaign in the not-too-distant future.

The NFC East looks like it’s going to be competitive next season. Something that became evident in 2022 and leaves Washington’s hopes of an instant playoff return hanging in the balance unless everything clicks into place right away.

There is a cautious sense of optimism right now. More will be needed when the 2023 NFL Draft rolls around, which will go a long way to determining just how successful the Commanders can become next time around.

Looking at the last few months, here are three ways the Commanders have won during the 2023 off-season so far.

Commanders convinced Eric Bieniemy

This could be the biggest acquisition the Washington Commanders have made in some time. Convincing Eric Bieniemy to leave the Kansas City Chiefs and become their new assistant head coach/offensive coordinator was a major coup – one that could propel this critical area of play to new heights.

Bieniemy is respected by coaches and players alike. His influence has already been felt in terms of coaching changes and free-agent acquisitions, which can hopefully bear fruit when competitive action arrives in 2023.
