4 bold predictions for the Commanders in 2023 free agency

Commanders will sign 3-4 former Eric Bieniemy players
Convincing Eric Bieniemy to leave the Kansas City Chiefs for full offensive control was the best move made by the Washington Commanders during a busy offseason so far. Something that could prove once and for all that the respected figure has what it takes to become a future NFL head coach down the line.
Bieniemy will already have some targets in mind and should be leaned on heavily throughout the recruitment process. And given the need to hit the ground running in a different environment, he could turn to some familiar faces in pursuit of immediate progress.
There should be plenty of former Bieniemy players on the market that could assist. Especially on the offensive line, which is in desperate need of a makeover after subpar signings and poor consistency throughout the 2022 campaign.
While the Commanders are strong at the skill positions aside from tight end, Bieniemy might target someone that can get them up a notch such as Jerick McKinnon and Mecole Hardman, who could slot in seamlessly within an offensive scheme they know well and offer something a little different.
Bieniemy might not be around for long if everything goes well in Washington. What’s important for the Commanders is giving their new assistant head coach/offensive coordinator everything he needs to thrive out of Andy Reid’s shadow.
