4 free-agent interior offensive linemen the Commanders could sign in 2023

Commanders could sign Bradley Bozeman
Finding more consistency at the center position is almost guaranteed in some capacity this off-season. The Washington Commanders cannot rely on Chase Roullier to stay healthy and if the necessary acquisitions come into the fold, he could be a post-June 1 salary-cap casualty considering the $8 million in savings involved.
This is a strong class of college prospects for the position. But the Commanders are under severe pressure to make notable strides next season, so going down the veteran route is another element that must be investigated thoroughly heading into free agency.
Even though the Carolina Panthers are working hard to keep him around, Bradley Bozeman would be a player of significant interest if he hit the market. His performance levels, pre-snap communication, and leadership within the locker room made a huge impression last season, which makes him the most gifted center looking for a new deal this spring.
Putting Bozeman onto Washington’s protection would provide stability at an important time. His ability to mentor young players could also be seen as a major benefit considering a draft pick or two should join the Commanders in the coming weeks.
The Panthers are prioritizing Bozeman before almost anything else. But if terms cannot be reached, then the Commanders should be among the first to pick up the phone.
