Which pending free agents could Eric Bieniemy want to improve his Washington Commanders offense when the 2023 frenzy begins?

Eric Bieniemy‘s primary objective with the Washington Commanders will be improving an offense that held the team back in 2022. But his new position of power means he’ll be heavily involved throughout a busy period of recruitment for the franchise this offseason.

The Commanders are in a good spot financially. Those in power can free up more than $50 million in salary-cap space comfortably should they wish, which indicates Washington might be a major player in free agency when the frantic period commences next month.

Bieniemy’s input will be crucial to the team’s overall strategy. It’s also worth remembering that the Commanders have eight selections during the 2023 NFL Draft to further enhance their options.

With this in mind, here are four free agents Bieniemy might want for the Commanders in 2023.

Commanders could target Isaac Seumalo

  • Interior Offensive Line | Philadelphia Eagles

After two injury-hit seasons, Isaac Seumalo got back on track at just the right time in 2022. The imposing offensive lineman was phenomenal for the Philadelphia Eagles last season, giving up just one sack and conceding six penalties en route to a superb 75.2 grade from Pro Football Focus, which will put numerous teams on high alert if he’s allowed to test the market.

Considering the complications suffered across the Washington Commanders’ protection during the previous campaign, spending big on a productive veteran should be something to consider. And weakening an NFC East rival only makes this sweeter.
