4 Commanders players with genuine breakout potential in 2023

Brian Robinson Jr. – Commanders RB
Much has been made about Brian Robinson Jr.‘s dramatic and almost life-threatening start to life in the NFL. What’s important for the player and the Washington Commanders is looking forward to a bright future together.
Robinson was everything the Commanders hoped for and more when finally permitted to make a return. His explosiveness, patience, and elusiveness carrying out of the backfield were evident from the moment he stepped onto the field, which is a solid platform to mold a prolific career as the team’s lead running back.
This is something Robinson should hold next season despite the presence of Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic on the roster. There will be a slight committee approach, but the former Alabama star will generate the majority of touches unless something drastic occurs this offseason.
With a new offensive coordinator coming into the fold, Robinson has to impress a fresh set of eyes and embrace new ideas. But the foundation he received under Nick Saban should serve him well in terms of transitioning to a different way of thinking.
If Robinson can convert more red-zone carries into touchdowns next season, there’s every chance he can take the league by storm. Something that was in some significant doubt this time last year after gunshot wounds during an attempted robbery left his career prospects hanging in the balance.
