Which rumors swirling around the Washington Commanders might not come true during what’s going to be another fascinating offseason in 2023?

I’m not an insider. I know a few, and I like them very much. But I wouldn’t want to be one.

I just couldn’t be comfortable reporting something as a scoop, and then being wrong about 80 percent of the time. That’s my wholly unscientific approximation of just how correct most insiders are.

So I’m about to tell you three things about the Washington Commanders. But please keep in mind – it’s all just speculation at this juncture until official confirmation is received.

It’s just that these scenarios have become popular amongst fans over the past few months. Based on the things I do know, none of them seem likely.

Were I an insider, I’d report these rumors as absolute, total non-starters. Not being one, I’ll just say, don’t hold your breath.

The Commanders have some important decisions to make before key events such as free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft come around. These moves could make all the difference as head coach Ron Rivera looks to avoid the hot seat and steer his team back into the playoffs.

The following three things are probably not going to happen this off-season. No matter how much we all might wish for them.
